Player Reviews Posted: 4-30-02 By Blake Takkunen - the Webmaster - <blake@discgolf.com> My Review: The Elite Z X2 is a fast, small-diameter overstable driver. The disc's flight very closely resembles that of the Elite X2 but is a little faster and more predictable with a little less glide. The Z X2's resistance to turn is up there, in the ballpark of a Firebird, CE Eagle, or Z Reaper. The Z X2 is one of those overstable discs that fades very predictably late in its flight. This translates into a very straight flight that finishes hard left when thrown flat. The Z X2 is an excellent straight headwind driver and excels at sweeping hyzers and long gradual left fades. However, its fade characteristics aren't quite strong enough for a knife hyzer. The Z X2 is also great for straight accuracy drives with a low ceiling. The "play" in its line is very gradual and bigger arms should find this to be a very accurate straight driver. It's not as long as some of the newer discs out there but its consistency is almost unmatched. This disc is not beginner friendly but it's not nearly as unforgiving as many of the other overstable drivers on the market. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
