Player Reviews Posted 08-05-05 Submitted by Alan Sweeton afsweeton@liberty.edu PDGA: 22691 Location: Princeton, NJ and Lynchburg, VA Level: Advanced Am Avg Drive: 325-350 Disc Weights: 172 Review: I picked up one of these bad boys at the Pro Worlds in Allentown, PA last week. As a rabid XD fan, I had to try out a Classic Roc and see if they really are as similar as I keep hearing. So far I am impressed. I got a Pro Classic Roc so it is more durable than my DX plastic, but it does seem to make it a bit more overstable, but not by a lot at all. I can throw anywhere up to 150' or so dead straight with this disc. Shorter distances will be a very, very slight fade to the left and slightly longer distances will show a tiny bit of anhyzer. Overall, this disc is straight as straight can be. I've practiced putting with it, too, and it really is similar to the XD and I really like the feel of this disc in my hand. If you want a great straight approach disc in Innova's Pro plastic, this is the right disc. If you love the XDs for putters, I would also recommend the Pro Classic Roc even for the little bit more durability that you'll get out of the better plastic. I'm hoping to try out the Champion plastic soon (only available as Fundraisers at the moment) and see what differences, if any, the plastic lends to the disc. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
