Help Identifying a Mystery Disc?

Postby drudavis » Thu Jul 11, 2013 8:56 am

Got a used disc recently at a garage sale. I cannot identify this one at all. It has no stamp. It has no weight/ID marker on the back, either. It does have the Innova marking on the bottom, so that narrows it down. It most closely resembles a Boss, from what I can tell (not exactly, but close). Is there a way to find out for certain what this disc is?

yes there is a way to tell but you must provide pictures of the disc rim profile.

How wide does the rim feel to you? bigger or smaller than a Wraith?

hrmm, my first guess is an Ape, but Boss is second. Have you thrown it?

Yes. Possibly the most overstable disc I've ever thrown.

I'm just going on your description and the fatness of the nose. It could also be a Quasar or PD2.

Never seen that color for a Quasar. All 170+ Quasars are metal flake.

Not that it will tell us anything about what model it is , but have you weighed it ?

Can you measure it ? Look at the way the disc is measured here : http://infinitediscs.com/innova-ape/

On the bottom of the disc is there any markinng at all ? No penned in weight or initials of any kind ?
