Forum Rules, embed a video/pic, NOOBIES READ THIS

Due to a request, i whipped up some forum rules.

#1. don't be a jerk (unless it's obviously in fun).

there shouldn't need to be any other rules. basically, just think about what you are saying, doing, and how it can affect others. no trolling, no smearing, no bs. it should be simple. if you are going to come up with some highly controversial topic, feel free to debate it into the ground but don't personally attack anyone for disagreeing with it. it's probably best to exercise judgment/restraint and if you want to talk about politics, abortion, religion, etc. i suggest you take it to a forum about politics, abortion, religion, etc.

if you can't follow the rule(s), some admin will likely lock/delete the thread and/or warn/ban a user. i trust the judgment of the admins and don't care how they use/abuse their power. they do a lot of work for free and put up with tons of BS to do what they do and i appreciate their help.

i'll add a second rule because it has reared its head too many times.

#2. don't talk about drugs.

#3 Don't post other people's personal info on this site. There is no reason good enough to do it.

#4 Don't make threads questioning the character of a particular player. You can debate their disc golf playing skills.

#5 No racial slurs. I can't believe I have to actually type this out. There is no way to remove the racial context from a racial slur. If you don't understand that, it probably means you are willfully ignorant.

Not a rule but I'm putting this here. Here is a quick tutorial on how to add an image to your post.

First go to a image hosting site. For this example I used Tinypic.com because they have tons of server space and they don't remove images for exceeding bandwidth or being NSFW.

When you first go to Tinypic you will be greeted with this screen:



This screen is where you will upload the pic you want to post on the forum. The first thing to do is click on the browse button there and navigate to the picture you want to upload from your computer. Always leave the file type as image.

*if your image is bigger than 640x480 please also use the resize drop down box there to reduce the size to 640x480 or lower.*

Once you have browsed to the file and selected it, click the Upload Now button.

The screen will think for a minute and you will be greeted with this screen:



All you need to do is highligh the code box I have poorly circled and then copy/paste the code into your post.

Use the [youtube] tag to embed a video like so:

{youtube}http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tibLjnn_Nf4{/youtube}

replace the { with [

Hey you! the new person to the board. Go to your User Control Panel.

Click on Board Preferences

Then change your board style (under My Board Style) to Subsilver2

It's the best way to view the board ever.
