The most current runs all have about the same stability. I highly recommend the M's as they have a flat top and non-puffed shoulder. The Softs and SS that I have had lately have had a more rounder/puffed shoulder and so it has a touch more dome rather than flat. I know I am not the only one that has seen this. I know Frank D noticed it with the magic's as well.

This is true. That is why I like the organics. The latest run are red and about SS in feel, but they are completely flat. I have production ones that are flat as well, but I had to paw through some stacks to find them. The domey ones are a touch more stable, especially LSS.

OK, I picked up a 170g S Voodoo that was a harder run of the plastic (it almost feels like M) and took it out for some field/putting practice.

It's an unpredictable POS compared to my 175g SS Voodoos! It seems to have more LSS without more HSS and less glide. In talwinds however, it seemed to have MORE glide. After a few sets of throws with it, I had to but it back into the back because I couldn't predict how this POS was going to fly. Even putting with it, it flew a bit different. Of all the spit-outs I got, all but one was with the hard S.

Wouldn't the 5 gram difference explain the glide with a tailwind? I would assume that the fade would be due to being new, which I believe would lead to less glide until the fade has been beaten out of it.

The harder plastics drop faster, have less glide, and are generally more overstable. Getting a lighter, harder one doesn't make that much sense to me though...If you are going to go with that plastic, you may as well get a heavy one so that it is great in the wind, to throw hard, and to use when you need a putt or shot that goes up and drops straight down.

Blake likes lighter putters as well as many here, myself, I've tried them and I prefer 173-175. I like the lighter ones when I was throwing perfect in zero wind, but even a light gust seems to mess with putters 170 and less. I also rather like them to drop and sit when they slow, and the lighter ones glide too much, especially in a slight tailwind or if you pop it too much. Maybe I'm just set in my ways...

At the beginning of this thread, someone mentioned how much they loved driving their E-voodoo. The next post someone mentioned how their E-voodoo was a completely different disc than their organic ones, and wouldn't use it as a driver. I've never thrown a voodoo, but I accidently ordered one in Evo plastic online the other nite (thought I was ordering a wizard), and was wondering what to expect. The only overstable putter I throw in Champ-like plastic is a Rhyno, will this disc kick it out of the bag? A longer Rhyno would be cool.

Not going to be like a longer Rhyno at all.

Mine fly very much like my regular voodoos, ie, straight. They start with a little bit more LSS, but that beats out of them quick. They really vary in the feel of the plastic though. I have some of them that feel very similar to normal star/esp, and others that feel more like FLX plastic. So your results may vary. The stiffer star-like ones seem to beat in a lot slower. For me its really just a question of preference if you like the way they feel or not. If you're just wanting a nice straight flyer, the E voodoo should do the trick. Just don't expect anything very different from your usual voodoos in the E plastic.

Gateway only has 2 main plastics. S = dx, E = anything else. The E Voodoo is just weird...The main thing I remember from is was a complete absence of glide. No matter how hard I threw it or how much spin I felt like I imparted on it, the disc would just drop. I actually liked the clear gummy Voodoos better.

I have 2 e voodoos and like themboth but they are different. my white one is hard like champ plastic and is slightly under stable, and a red one that is dead straight and feels like flx plastic. both disc are 174.

Saw some of these at PIAS for the first time and wanted some info in them before I buy one.

If they're anything like the black Wizards I had they should be pretty nice.

The SS plastic wasn't floppy at all grippy and almost chalky, they flew slightly more stable than comparable Wizards.

I'd expect the Voodoo to be the same if the plastic is similar to that description, but you never know with Gateway.

been using the voodoo for over a year now and it is not going anywhere. I have so few three putts with this disc that i am not sure when the last one was. it falls so straight and land so flat that roll aways are very rare. the voodoos with the band stamps seem to be really flat and make the best throwers imo.

Eh, my S Wizards got banged, scratched up and gouged as fast as your average decent DX disc (the super shitty soft waxy runs excluded for obvious reasons, nothing beats up like those).
