I played with Cam the other day. It was a bit cold and I asked if he had ever broken/cracked one of his challengers. He said that he had not. He did say that he does not drive with them as much as many other players do with their putters. He had two (one OS and one not) challengers for putting and one for upshots. If you drive with them when cold then breaking them is your problem.

Mine broke before a summer tournament while warming up doing some putts from about 40 ft.
If the object of disc golf were to hit trees, I'd be 1100 rated.

Discraft evidently made a run of Nate Doss Challengers which are similar to the Cam Todds and include some of the remaining original plastic from the Cam Todds. The sample I felt seemed less stiff and more tacky than what I remember of the Cam Todds.

I need one of those nates, I like all the plastic choices discraft offers the challenger in, i use soft x a ton in the winter, inside 30, shots that need more glide, and hilly situations, stiff D for upshots, downhill putts, shots that need more stability, and short tee shots. The flx is nice also, I have a ton of putters for practice now, 10 in d, 10 in x, 2 flx, 1 crystal z, they all serve a purpose, and I get it all in 1 mold, made my bag so much simpler, I want discraft to reissue the ct again so I can buy a stack of them, did they run out of that plastic? What's the history? @ blurr, that story is a heart breaker, but don't be mad, all discs die way too young,
Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness" So I got that goin for me, which is nice

Which course did you play?

IMO, soft x and stiff tacky d are the best putter plastic for challengers. I have been throwing them for 6 years and love the flight and how they wear in. I have never touched a Cam Todd putter and have no desire to do so.

Domey Challengers stink, has anyone else noticed this?

What I mean is the domey, higher shoulder ones. They don't start out as stable, and feel less predictable. The flat ones are my fave. They sink in nicely.
