I thought the PLS had the same amount of turn and less fade than the JLS.

They are real close in their turn (their ratings are identical), but I've always had the PLS turn more. Granted that probably is because most of my JLS are in Q. However, when I compare my beat JLS and PLS the PLS will turn more.

And I screwed up and flipped my explanation for the fade. Yes, the JLS has a little more fade than a PLS. Thanks for catching that.

Thought I'd try out some Valks instead of the Monarchs, we'll see how it goes.

At any given time, I carry:

Anything in my bag over that is just a backup disc for extra practice shots.

I plan on the Rocs and Meteors switching places (to 3 Rocs and 1 Meteor) as I beat in the Rocs. Still kind of new to Rocs, so they aren't very broken in.

Got my first tourney coming up, wondering if anyone has any recommendations for my bag. I primarily like to throw with hyzer. The tourney is at my home course, 7200' elevation. Wind and thunderstorms are a daily threat here.

What kind of backup discs do you guys normally bring to a tournament? I'm also bringing towels, a little tripod stool, water, snacks, and a mini. Do I have it covered? It'll be 2 rounds the first day, 1 round the second day.

Took the Rocs out, put a QMS in, I think it's gonna stay that way. Seems like I can do everything with that QMS, except I lose the ability to flex it on farther shots, but I've been using a Firebird for that anyway.

Back to the Monarchs. I miss them in the understable slot, the Valks just weren't breaking in fast enough and were too similar to my Eagles for me to justify keeping them in. I can do a little more with the Monarch, especially at my altitude.

Also, Fuses in for QMS's, but that was a while ago.

Just lost two Champ Firebirds in the same round on a trip to the Denver area last week. One 11x and one 12x. So, currently I am throwing:

Everything else in the bag is just duplicate stuff for backup shots to transition them in slowly.

After seeing the way my seasoned Eagle excelled at turnover shots at low altitude in MN, I'd like to replace my light Champ Monarch with a beat DX Eagle some day. I think I would prefer the consistency and control I had with the Eagle to the erratic but at times spectacular shot making ability of the Monarch. Tough to say, I won't know until I get my Eagle really beat in, but my bag would look like this:

Anybody else have experience using a fairway driver as their long turnover driver? Pros? Cons?

Got one Champ Firebird back. Eagle is great as a turnover driver now. Rockin' 13 discs at the moment:

Here's the setup I've had in my bag lately. Unfortunately I've only been able to play 4 or 5 rounds with the Flow due to the weather, I'm dying to figure out if I'm going to keep it or end up back with Destroyers in the end. I want to sell some of my Destroyers and get some Flows, but I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

I'm lacking that stable distance slot I had with a fresh Destroyer, I plan on getting a heavy Opto Flow to fill that if I stick with the mold. For now, I'm trying to see what I can do with the Eagles for all my stable distance needs. I've been able to push them out a little past 400' with moderate consistency. Problem is that the Flow that works at my home course of 7200' is too flippy across town at 5500', so I think I'm going to need to carry two max D drivers if only to account for altitude differences.

I dig that bag. Solid setup. Mine is set up very similarly, with the same basic slots but different discs. I do throw Eagles for most fairway shots, though.

Any Aviar apologists out there feel free to comment on what you throw.

RIP Wizards . Never thrown anything but Wizards, but I recently found a money Aviar putter and decided to try an all-out switch. Instantly meshed with the handful of KC's and Yeti's I picked up, very similar to my Wizards but more durable and I can actually buy them locally, which is a big plus for putters. Love the KC's for driving and putting and the Yeti for touch approaches and drives, and long putts.

Found a local stash of pearly Champ Monsters, my first love for overhands and flicks, and decided to go back to them since I was almost through my 11x Firebirds. Always been able to get better distance and accuracy with the Monster but was turned off by the mold confusion in Champ plastic. Monsters in pearly Champ are grippy, flexy, durable, and all around just awesome, I'm glad to have them back in the bag.

What do you think of the Fuse? How different is it from a worn DX Roc?

I tend to overthrow my target with the Fuse, it has so much glide. I much prefer ranging the Roc by adjusting the height of the throw.

Ultimately I've found that with these less stable mids, I'm always afraid they're going to turn too early or too hard if I don't throw them perfectly, and the Fuse is no exception. You can use a seasoned Roc and really snap it and it's going to hold the line out of the hand and turn gradually and later in the flight while maintaining its height. My confidence on flat turnovers and anny lines has grown a lot once I dropped the Meteor/Fuse and stuck to Rocs.
