Peter begins his throw with a couple of leading steps but his final 3 steps are a traditional X-step. This is at the beginning of his X-step.

Peter keeps his momentum moving forward through the cross-step as his hips and shoulders rotate closed.

At Peter's point of maximum reach back, his hips are rotated closed and his back is facing the target. His weight is over his back foot and he is ready to push off into his plant/pivot.

Peter Middlecamp Peter Middlecamp Peter Middlecamp
Peter has planted his foot ~90 degrees from the target onto a bent knee and his hips are beginning to rotate open. This is as the beginning of his pull and the disc is close to his chest and his off arm is tight to his body.

This is right before the hit. Peter's hips have exploded open and rotated his shoulders, whipping his arm through. His weight is over his plant foot and his elbow is in the process of extending as his right foot begins its pivot.

Immediately after the hit, Peter's hips and shoulders are now fully open. His elbow is fully extended and his arm is entering the follow-through.

Peter's follow-through is strong and his upper body is still moving. His back leg has lifted off the ground and his off arm is now off his body to aid in slowing down his rotation.

Peter has stepped through the pivot to relieve stress on the knee as his momentum continues forward.
